KiiT-IS Library Advisory Committee
The Committee provides a forum for open discussion of matters relating to the library and its services. This committee is mandatory for all NCERT and CBSE Board Schools around India and abroad. Of course it is need of the hour and supported and encouraged by Management of KiiT International School. So there will be advantageous if we create an advisory committee for the library with the following terms of reference:

Objectives
- To recommend suitable budgetary provisions for the library and resource center;
- To formulate policy in relation to the development of resources for reading, reference and projects;
- To develop a general programme of library service to suit the interest and requirements of CBSE, Kinderorland, IGCSE and IBDP curriculum's of the school; To frame, review and approve library rules;
- To develop short-range plans for collection development based on the school’s implemented curriculum,
- To make recommendations for proper functioning of School Library Resource Center

Responsibilities
- Committee looks in to user complaints and their requirements
- To support research activities like Exhibition, projects, Extended Essay, TOK and IAs.
- Library committee arranges a student’s forum to create awareness among the students
Schedule of the Meeting
The library advisory committee should meet once in a three months during the academic year. The meeting dates should be scheduled for the entire school year, and those dates should be noted on the school’s calendar. Meeting reminders with the proposed agenda should be sent to all members and meetings announced in the minutes from the previous meeting, the school’s Web page, the school’s newsletter, and the library media center’s Web page.
