KIIT International School
KIIT International School has turned 15 this year! And on this day of July 2, the foundation was laid. Not just the foundation of this building but the foundation of quality education along with it was laid. The journey of all these years has been a wonderful one – a journey of risks, trials, reformations and hence, a string of achievements.
It wasn’t easy to establish CBSE, IGSCE and IB boards all under one umbrella which otherwise had remained a dream too far for many entrepreneurs in Odisha. And the sole reason why Odisha lacked quality education was because all educationists had a very conservative overview of career, curriculum and a narrow outlook towards learning where education was just meant to churn out only engineers and doctors.
KIIT International School, a quality and value-based school with global curriculum could only be possible in Odisha because of the vision of its Founder, Dr. Achyuta Samanta. Way back in 2007, the founder had already visioned of an IB world school and a CBSE National school when one could not imagine beyond a national board, leave alone international, just to prove to the world that in a state considered to be economically backward, quality education for all is not just about keeping parallelism with international standard but to be able to facilitate global mindset that explores other cultures and countries, and how societies are interconnected along with the proficiency in one or more additional languages.
The school started with 25 children. And the mission was not ‘quantity’ but ‘quality’, quality to make learning interesting and always joyful. The process is still continuing, In the recent years, the school has been doing exceptionally well and has been continuously adding feathers of glory to its cap.
