Be Creative in DDLJ

Bring Your Thoughts in Reality at DDLJ

Here I am not talking about bollywood's Block buster Movie called DDLJ (Dilwale Dulhaniya le Jayenge). Seriously I want to put my views on "Digital, Design and Learning Junction" this is the platform for the innovative thinkers and tech savvy learners. Those who thinks differently and creatively can get benefit a lot while they change ideas to reality. It will give an opportunity to the curious communicator of the technology to design their content or ideas through free tech-enabled web tools to inspire the future education system. Teachers or educators can easily use this platform to make their content attractive, interesting and more interactive for the 21st century learners.

Off course change is inevitable and it is happening right now all over the world. "Change is the universal truth! if you don't change, changes will definitely change you" said by Rehman M. Now this is the time for change and it is happening in all sectors including education. As an educator We need to prepare ourselves to accept and adopt the changes in our professional life.

After corona or covid 19 effect everything has been changing rapidly (Since the Spanish Flu of 1918). Right now we are depending upon heavily on Virtual or online classrooms, social networks, cloud computing and other collaborative and tech tools to reach our user community.

Technology will continue to play a key role in educating future generations.
It is first time in the history of modern civilisation, teachers and parents are in a tough time because of the corona virus pandemic. No one has expected the situation what they were facing right now but they found the way to teach students using the modern technology. Certainly teachers come to know the importance of the online learning for their students in the panic situation. Schools and teachers are also trying to understand how to re-formulate the curriculum and the syllabus. During this process, as a library professional we need think ourselves how to help our students and learned society with our experience and knowledge of content management and dissemination process.

The internet has changed the modern world significantly with learning and thinking patterns for the twenty first century learner. Since technology and education going together has invented many free tools to help and sustain for the teaching and learning processes. The classroom is an important part for a child’s educational experience. But creating an environment that fosters learning and discovery is about more than teaching things out of a book. Use drag-and-drop feature and layouts to design consistently stunning graphics, presentations, logos, and websites. Research shows that technology integration in their classroom boosts student performance with their thought process.

Now teachers are educating Gen-next (kids or students born after 2000) - this generation constantly surrounded by technology. It needs everything on their fingertips within a few seconds. Old methods cannot be used to educate the Gen-next. Teachers need to learn the  innovative ways of using technology and make the learning communty active and engaged. Kids are innovative, they are fast paced thinkers they need modern technology to make them curious innovators. implementing digital technology in teaching can help them to access the information quickly and easily.

I have compiled here some of free tools that can help teachers boost social learning, simplify curriculum and lesson planning and create a more collaborative and interactive learning atmosphere in our school. Digital Design library is the best platform to have it in a school environment to teach modern tech tools to impart the better education.

Just explore one by one...... but before that you need to know

In my view, DDLJ (not the movie!! our project) should be their in side the library or next to it for the reason to help the user to do research and design together. Librarian need to take the initiative and the leadership role to make it happen. Minimum five systems need to be their in the junction to install the designing softwares with digital library option for the curious learner.

1. Weebly, the free website Builder!

Weebly is one of the most popular website builders in the online market. Reportedly more than 60 million users are there right now. It is a very robust website builder, easy to use and aimed at educational, business, professional or personal websites.

Weebly is a platform that I personally have been using for over 6 years now and I just love it. Basically I am not tech savvy person but when I started to use weebly amazingly I transformed myself as a tech oriented library professional, as I can execute my concepts into beautiful reality fairly quickly to reach my user community.
